WANDFLUH, a Swiss manufacturer with worldwide distribution, has a comprehensive range of hydraulic and electronic components. Considerable experience results in individual solutions and high quality products that are adapted to customer requirements in the optimum way. Explosion proof – and low leakage valves, special surface treatment, flow – and pressure control cartridges, special hydraulic valves and electronics for the mobile – and industrial sector, shipbuilding, harbour cranes, offshore technology, ROV, fork lift trucks, winches.

During the development of the new series, great importance was placed on the flexibility and modularity of the units. Therefore, only a small number of different parts are needed to create a multitude of variants of the hydraulic units. This has a very positive effect on stock keeping and the availability of parts. With the help of this modular system, we can easily combine small flows with flows of up to 1000 l/min. This makes PMV a highly modular solution for demanding hydraulic applications. Thanks to its modularity there are endless combinations, to fit in with the customer’s requirements.

Most modules can be replaced in the field without removing the entire unit from the machine. This reduces downtime for maintenance and commissioning times. Since oscillation can occur in the system in complex hydraulic installations, precautions have been taken here as well: Damping possibilities can be mounted in various places, accessible from the outside.

The worldwide requirements regarding the sustainability of products are well known and during development, special attention was therefore paid to high power density. Due to the high maximum permissible operating pressure of 420 bar and optimised flows, very high performances can be transported with the lowest possible power losses. Low pressure drops (delta p), low actuation currents, optimised flows, compact dimensions and long service life have a positive effect on the sustainability of the product.

Wandfluh is proud to expand its product range to offer the market a real alternative for sophisticated mobile hydraulics. Most of the features are already available from stock, which is an important point in today’s delivery time challenges and adds value to the whole supply chain.

The digital amplifier module is characterised by its robust and compact design. As a result, it is excellently suitable for applications in the mobile field. The module is available as basic – and as enhanced amplifier. Both versions do not differ in their construction. The main differing characteristics are the number of solenoid outputs, the number of digital inputs as well as the number and the resolution of the analogue inputs. The basic amplifier has 4 solenoid outputs, 2 digital – and 2 analogue inputs (10-bit). The enhanced amplifier has 8 solenoid outputs, 4 digital – and 4 analogue inputs (16-bit). In addition, in the case of both versions 2 digital outputs are available.

Further characteristics of this product are the high number of solenoid outputs, which can be used not only for driving proportional solenoids, and the broad voltage range, which enables the driving of 12 VDC- and 24 VDC devices.

Customer-specific requirements are easily implemented.The parameterisation takes place through a USB interface by means of the menu-controlled, user-friendly parameterisation and diagnostics software PASO. This provides some new features. Every channel can be called-up in a window. In doing so, the whole signal flow from the input to the solenoid output with all adjustable and set parameters is evident. In this manner, the parameters can be changed and stored in memory in a simple way.

Quite simply a brilliant affair!

Wandfluh as of new offers the proportional screw-in valves with slip-on coil.

The exchangeable coil significantly simplifies the logistics, because the solenoid coil can also be retrofitted. The various alternatives make the proportional screw-in cartridges a very flexible system. Different plug – voltage alternatives are available ex stock and are complemented with respect to individual adaptations – with the customary Wandfluh flexibility. In addition, the performance of the valves has been increased by the improved solenoid coil. Therefore also ambient temperatures of up to 70°C can be accepted without any performance loss. With the improvement of the corrosion protection of the solenoid coil, depending on the version, the valves achieve a salt-spray resistance of over 500h.

Available are valves with the standard cavities M22 and M33 in accordance with ISO 7789. Pressure relief valves are available as direct operated and pilot-operated versions up to volume flows of over 230 l/min and pressures of up to 350 bar. Apart from the optimised proportional throttle for volume flows of up to 63 l/min, the All-In-One valve QSPPM33 (tight seating volume flow controller) with mechanically preset Imin is in the Wandfluh product range. By the preset Imin the series spread of the valves is reduced to a minimum, in order to guarantee a simplification of the valve commissioning.

Typical applications for the qualitatively high-grade proportional screw-in cartridges are:

– Sensitive adjustment of pressure, resp., volume flow– Speed control of hydro-motors– Cylinder control – and positioning– Individual adjustment of clamping – and tensioning force

The Wandfluh program pf proportional valves with integrated electronics «Digital Smart Valves» is becoming more and more extensive. Not only more and more functions in flange – and screw-in cartridge construction are available in this compact construction. Some valve types are also equipped with integrated electronics. In place of an analogue interface, fieldbus interfaces (CANopen or Profibus DP) are now available for all types.
